Linking up at All The Weigh for Friend Making Monday! These questions look pretty cool, and since it's my BIRTHDAY I thought I would blog!
1. Are you a morning person? Not in any sense of the word.
2. Are you an introvert or extrovert? I think I'm a little of both. It really just depends on the circumstances I'm in/around.
3. Are you addicted to anything? Yep. Sun Drop and Mexican food.
4. How many times have you been in love? Wow. That's pretty personal. I think twice. You know, you can say it all day long, but there's also a feeling that goes along with it. I have it with Hubs now, and I've had it once before.
5. What is your position on politics? I think Obama needs to go. I tend to lean more to the conservative side of things, although I don't feel like I really 'claim' a party. I mean, I voted for Bill Clinton in the 90s. I think it's more about the candidate and the issues than it is about the party.
6. Are you religious? I like to think of it more as a relationship than being religious. I do go to church weekly and have a strong belief in God.
7. Would you prefer backpacking or a luxury hotel? HOTEL - no contest there!
8. Do you have/want a pet? We have a family dog. Technically, she is my mom's dog, but she is still part of the family. I figured out I am good with pets as long as they are someone else's!
9. Are you a sports fan? Yes, high school, college, & pro football!!!!!!!
10. How often do you brush your teeth? 2x a day
11. Do you have tattoos and/or piercings? My ears are pierced 2x each. I want a tattoo, but I don't know what or where.
12. What's your favorite clothing brand? I don't really have one. Plus sizes aren't too fabulous you know.
13. Should a man open doors for a woman? Absolutely
14. Which season is your favorite? Fall is my favorite
15. Would you rather eat less or workout more? How about a combination of both? I really enjoyed working out when I was motivated enough to do it.
16. What is your idea of romance? Hmm, I like notes, texts, flowers, etc for no reason. I think being snuggled up with the person you love is awesome.
17. How often do you do things outside of your comfort zone? Not very often at all.
18. Christmas or Halloween? I like them both. I think Christmas edges out just a bit, because of my beliefs about it being about Jesus' birth.
19. Would you rather live in the country or the city? I think the country. Not so far out you have to drive for 30 minutes to get to a store, but far enough where you can enjoy the stars without a street light!
20. Share your life philosophy. Be Happy.

What a day!
Sometimes those snappy little blog titles just don't come to me. Like today: What a day! That's it? Really?
Anyway, we are under severe storm watch, so what else to do after checking Facebook a million times for weather updates? BLOG!
I have to say that my friends on Facebook are on it when it comes to weather situations. I have learned more from them today than from the news stations. No kidding. My precious 3-year-old is sitting across from me in the recliner watching Curious George on my phone. My big kid (aka Hubs) is sleeping soundly on the couch. I, perched in the other recliner, am keeping an eye on the clouds and flipping back and forth to FB to check for weather updates.
I hate storms. It stems from childhood. My grandmother (Ma) didn't like storms either. I remember her standing at our picture window (ok...for you folks that don't know what that may be - it's the big front window in your living room) and watching the clouds, wind, rain, whatever it was doing. She made me stay away from the window because the glass could break and then I'd get hurt. I do the same thing now, and have for several years. I watch the clouds & the trees moving. I don't like Bug being near the window when it is storming. I have gotten in to the hallway with her once or twice....storms scare me.
So, my scared, cautious, hating storm self is going back to FB & radar to see what is going on.

Here we are again...
It's 2012...well, it's been 2012 for 7 days. I've had good intentions about writing a blog everyday. The words just haven't flowed like I thought they would. I've got plenty of stuff floating around in this brain of mine - so why can't I just write and get it all out? Yeah, I don't know either. So to start this year's blogging madness I will write 12 little things about me.
1. When I fry something in hot oil, I get goosebumps. When it starts to pop and crack, I get them. Crazy, huh?
2. I always run cold water on a hot pan when I put it in the sink.
3. I honestly believe my mind is 90% song lyrics.
4. I love Mexican food...I could eat it 7 days a week.
5. I ask 'what-if" way too much.
6. I have an uncanny knack of remembering names. I have pretended that I don't remember a name just so I don't look like a stalker.
7. I have very little faith in myself.
8. I have been honored to have a few friends that I could honestly called my best friends.
9. I remember when MTV played music videos....and I remember seeing the very first video on MTV.
10. I think I want to go to Bonnaroo this year.
11. I love taking pictures....I just prefer not to be in them.
12. I hope to blog more this year...and tell you about some special people that have been in my life.
I guess that's it for now...

Thursday, October 30, 2008
4:45 p.m.
Baptist Hospital, Nashville, TN
~taken within the first few minutes after her birth~
Our precious baby girl, Leah Abigail, was born.
She was the spitting image of her Daddy.
She now looks more like me.
Our lives were forever changed from the moment we knew she was on the way.
She is so very smart and amazes me at how much she knows and how much she understands. I never in a million years thought that I could love one little person so very much. It's a very true statement that once you become a parent your heart walks outside of your body. I had no idea. Leah is in her 2nd year of preschool and she is the oldest. We're struggling with potty training, but we will get there. At a dr's appointment a few weeks ago, she was 40 1/2 inches tall and 41 lbs. She is in a 4T or 5T size clothing. She loves music (Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen is a favorite of hers...she calls it the "take me home song").
She loves Barney, Princesses, Dora, playing Dr., and animals.
She tells me and her Daddy often "You are the best mommy ever" or "you are the best daddy ever".
It's great to hear especially when you feel like you suck at parenting.
My Bug,
My Bug,
Mommy & Daddy love you so very much. You are the apple of our eye and it's so
hard to remember life before you. I cannot believe that 3 years have passed already. October 30, 2008 was the best day of my life and I love you with my whole heart. You are so smart and you amaze me everyday. I am so proud to be your Mommy!!!! I love you! Happy 3rd Birthday!
Love, Mommy
